SC Logistics’ public-private partnership is made up of private-sector business leaders, state agencies and education institutions. Our work is made possible by a generous grant from the U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA) and support from the South Carolina Council on Competitiveness and the South Carolina Department of Commerce. 

In addition to public-sector funding, private-sector business and education institutions also provide funding to support the initiative’s work.

  • Beginning in 2019, we are pleased to offer – at no cost to SC Logistics partners -a valuable new benefit designed to improve access to workforce talent so as to improve our partner’s competitive position.  Specifically, we are forming a partnership with Tallo (formerly STEM Premier) that will provide a Tallo Connect Campaign for partner companies. 

    Tallo is an online connection platform and app that has been working in South Carolina for more than 3 years. Tallo has helped hundreds of thousands of students nationwide, both high school and college, create professional profiles. This allows for companies to connect with users via direct message to promote opportunities such as employment, apprenticeships, internships, and general awareness about local companies.  To date, more than 77,000 South Carolinians from across the state have created profiles. 

    Tallo will work with your Talent Acquisitions or Marketing team to craft a message (adhering to all branding protocols), identify the demographic who will receive the message, and send it out to the appropriate audience. Nothing is sent without your approval. You’ll then receive a report summarizing the campaign’s success, as well as the contact information of the individuals who expressed interest in your opportunity, within 1-2 weeks.
