Continental Tire, Senator International, Southeastern Freight Lines, and thyssenkrupp Supply Chain Services officially join initiative
Columbia – SC Logistics, an initiative of the South Carolina Council on Competitiveness, is pleased to welcome Continental Tire, Senator International, Southeastern Freight Lines, and thyssenkrupp Supply Chain Services as its newest private sector partners.
With a focus on shaping the future of South Carolina’s logistics industry, SC Logistics supports the state’s robust logistics economy by providing actionable research, networking and education opportunities, with a focus on innovation and technology as well as thought leadership on trends changing the logistics landscape. Partner organizations provide crucial insight into the opportunities and obstacles facing the state’s logistics industry and their hands-on engagement is a key component of the initiative’s success.

Continental Tire joins SC Logistics with a history of demonstrating its commitment to the state’s logistics industry. The company has consistently been recognized as a community partner in regions across the state and in December 2017, Continental announced the establishment of an endowed chair for operations and supply chain at the University of South Carolina.
Senator International, a German Freight Forwarding Company and Logistics Provider with offices around the United States joins with an office located at the Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport that operates three nonstop, roundtrip flights to and from Frankfurt-Hahn Airport in Germany with plans to increase to four flights later this summer. “We have seen a great deal of success with our South Carolina based operation, in no small part due to the network of partnerships we have established in the state,” says Ralf Schneider, COO. “As an SC Logistics partner, we look forward to building new relationships and continuing to be a part of South Carolina’s growing logistics industry.”
Southeastern Freight Lines, based out of Lexington, South Carolina joins SC Logistics with a 68-year history of meeting logistics needs throughout the region. Tobin Cassels, President of Southeastern Freight Lines says that becoming an SC Logistics partner was an easy decision to make. “As SC Logistics partners, we’ll have a voice in what happens in the industry across the state, which is now more important than ever considering the rapid growth in the industry and new technology that’s being introduced daily. We want to have a seat at the table and be able to continue to make a positive impact on the industry.”
Brian Diephuis, President, of thyssenkrupp Supply Chain Services NA expressed equal enthusiasm for joining the SC Logistics initiative. “We are proud to be members of the ever growing South Carolina business ecosystem.
